Many thanks are owed to all of the brethren of Denver Lodge for making us what we are to day but in particular we would like to thank our officer line, the members of our several committees and our Past Masters who serve on behalf of the lodge and who have made us what we are today.

Denver Lodge #5 is the oldest lodge in Colorado. Every Masonic lodge in America has both a name and a number. The number represents the order that the charters were granted by the Grand Lodge in that particular jurisdiction. The story about how #5 is older than #1 is a classic example of frontier America. Check out here to go back in time to the Kansas Territory and Auraria Lodge UD.
A brief history of Denver Lodge No.5
As Masonic lodges go, Denver Lodge #5 is comparitavely well off. We have a lovely building, a large and growing membership, and sufficient budget to meet our needs as well as to fund service to the community. Since 1985 we have offered scholarships to worthy students in the community regardless of their Masonic affiliations. To learn more about our Arvin Lankenau Memorial Scholarship program, click here.

In 1984 the temple building was destroyed by fire, and with it most of the archives and collections of the lodge. Since then, we've been working to rebuild our library as well as artifacts that relate to our history, our members, or freemasory in general. The collection is housed in the Scott Palmer Library on the 5th floor of the temple building. Click here to learn more about the Scott Palmer Library as well as a few articles of interest to masons and non-masons alike.
2011 is the age of the internet and Masonic sites are numerous. Here are a few that we feel are worth a look.
