Greetings from the East,

We had a busy month in April, but the highlight for me was Raising our Brothers Daniel McCoy and Sean Murphy to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason! The degree team did a great job and I couldn’t be more proud!

Park Hill Lodge No. 148 reciprocated our visit with their own joint communication at the Welton Temple on the 20th. It was certainly great to see them again and we hope this will be a repeated event in the years to come!

Our May calendar is booking up fast. May 1st we will be visiting Lupton Lodge #119 at 7pm. Bro. Dane Barnes will be doing a presentation on Mysticism, Esotericism, and the Occult. The address is 130 Denver Ave., Fort Lupton CO. 80621

Our Stated Communication on May 4th will be the first instalment in our new series of performances by the Denver Lodge No. 5. Thespian Club. Defense of the Ruffians by Bro. Thomas B. Davis will be performed by W.B. Michael Rossi and Bro. Daniel Lamorie. This is promising to be a huge event so please join us! Master Masons only please. RSVP

May 11th will be our monthly Cigar Night at Churchill’s in the Brown Palace. Space is limited so please RSVP.

Our Stated Communication on May 18th will be our Annual Open Scholarship Night. Aside from giving out scholarships, we will also be honouring a few other notable citizens and we have Chief Judge Stephen Munsinger as a keynote speaker. The dinner and the meeting will be open to the public so please invite your friends and loved ones. RSVP

See you at Lodge!

This is another installment in a series where we will introduce some of our members. These are the up-and-coming leaders of our Fraternity. These are men from all walks of life. Fathers, sons, husbands… and we all call each other Brothers. These are just some of the stories behind Denver Lodge No.5.

Ray Loomis is a husband and father of two. His Daughter Bailey is 8 and Son Blake is 3. He lives in the quiet town of Elizabeth where he also home offices. He works for Thomson Reuters in the legal marketing space. He help attorneys from Denver to Pueblo build their online brand and attract new clients through a wide range of online advertising.

Originally from Ohio, he has had one foot in both states since 1984. Colorado has been his primary home since 2004. When not working he spends his time dating his wife, skiing as much as possible, sport shooting, and playing with his kids. He is also handy with his steel, not just any geek off the street, earns his keep.

We love having Ray and it’s always a huge pleasure seeing him at Lodge.

Say hi to him at our next meeting.
