May 2026 Trestleboard

My brothers,

I am so proud of the work we have been putting on as a lodge this year, and want to thank everyone for leaning into how we are developing our Masonic community; inside D5, across our various Masonic bodies, and throughout our communities.

OUR COMMUNITY IN MASONRY
April was a busy month for our lodge.  We heard three excellent EA proficiencies, and I appreciate the hard work Brothers Max, Chase, and Dustin put into that.  Education was provided by Br. Bill Hickey who spoke about the Denver-Fitzsimmons Chapter #37 of National Sojourners and the civic engagement fostered by that Masonic body, and WB Abel Coombs from Mount Evans Lodge #7 PHA in Aurora came to visit and provide education about the Entered Apprentice degree.

On the social front this month, we:

continued the lodge tradition of Gunsmoke,

had an impromptu social on Br. Drew Turner’s rooftop deck,

shared some great fellowship with our Prince Hall brethren in lodge and after their visit,

and a few of us attended the Consistory’s Easter Sunrise Service.

As we discussed during the Sickness and Distressed portion of our last meeting, please remember to check in individually with our brothers, both absent and present. A thoughtful kind word can go a long way when life happens and interrupts a brother’s plans.

LOOKING FORWARD
Masonica planning is still going well and we’re on track to meet our funding needs now we have narrowed the scope of the event, and some additional bodies have passed their motions to send in checks.

In the coming several weeks, we will continue executing on the theme of “Our Community in Masonry” in a variety of ways, but please note that several things have changed since our last trestleboard:
